Debajo del palo ‘e mango is a collaborative CD between Jarochicanos, Colectivo Altepee, Don Isidro Nieves Hernández, y Alicia Molina Reyes which was recorded in June 2018. Aside from documenting the particular musical style of Don Isidro and Tía Licha, the CD aims to recognize and celebrate the relationships and the international work of exchange, support, and learning between Chicago and southern Veracruz. The music, verses, and art were all done in a collaborative manner between members of both communities, resulting in an intimate and representative creation of our hearts and shared philosophies.
